Art Gallery Wall
Located at the District Council of Karoonda East Murray office, the art gallery wall is updated on a bi-monthly basis with artwork from talented artist hailing from all corners of SA, including our very own from the Mallee region.
In recognition of National Reconciliation Week (NRW), we invite you to view Council’s Art Gallery Wall displaying artwork from 2 talented Aboriginal artists Kat Bell Art & Design and Adnyamathanha Artwork by Jaekiya.
Kat Bell is an Australian First Nation Artist & Writer based in the Riverland, South Australia. Hailing from North Queensland (her people and culture are Gudjula and Girramay) she draws a lot of inspiration from her culture, people's stories, and experiences.
Jaekiya Wilton is a proud Adnyamathanha woman from the northern Flinders Ranges, South Australia. Through her art, Jaekiya’s goal is to create stories and recreate Yura Muda (Adnyamathanha Dreaming) and express how proud she is to be a part of the oldest living culture in the world.
