Karoonda & District Memorial Gates

Found at the corner of West Terrace and Railway Terrace, the Memorial Gates were originally erected to commemorate those who died in military service or were killed in action in World War Two.

A plaque has been added to the gates to commemorate those who served in the Korean War, the Vietnam War and other South East Asian conflicts.

An important upgrade to the gates was unveiled on 15 October 2017, when a list of all who had served from the Karoonda East Murray district was added to the memorial.
